Take Your Loved Ones On A Vacation To See The World Heritage Sites Of Asia

Family vacations are great way to build memories and even learn something along the way. What better way to shake up a traditional family vacation than by traveling to the other side of the world? Asia is a land full of mystery and discovery. UNESCO, or the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, thought so too. UNESCO is responsible for establishing the World Heritage Sites around the world. With a passport in hand, you can see these sites for yourself. Visiting an online fast U S passport service can get this started for you.

These online bureaus serve a huge variety of functions, from getting you a next day passport to replacing your outdated or damaged passport.

Asia is home to many World Heritage Sites which isn’t surprising. With Countries like China, Japan and India as well as other Middle Eastern countries, an abundant number of interesting, historical places can be visited. Let’s highlight a few of them here.

China’s Dazu Rock Carvings consist of approximately 50,000 larger than life statues with more than 100,000 Chinese characters surrounding the statues on surrounding cliff faces. Ancient Chinese began carving these figures in 650 AD and they attract many spectators.

The Mausoleum of the First Olin Emperor in Xi’an is also found in China. It was discovered by workers digging a well in 1974 and is famous for its terracotta carvings. Figures represented include warriors, horses, chariots, musicians, acrobats and strongmen and number approximately 8,000. These are life-size creations and attract visitors from all over the world.

Lake Baikal in Russia is the largest freshwater lake in the world, and one of the most biodiverse as well. 1,085 species of plants and 1,550 species of animals make their home in Lake Baikal, and a full 80% of these species can only be found at this lake. One of these animals is the adorable Baikal Seal.

Sigiriya is an ancient stone fortress located in Sri Lanka. Surrounding this monstrous fortress are moats, gardens, and the remains of structures long crumbled. Strange and interesting stone formations populate the grounds, some of which were manipulated for use by early humans around five thousand years ago. Ancient frescoes and strange terraced gardens provide a glimpse into a culture belonging to some of our earliest ancestors.

Socotra in the Indian Ocean is a chain of four islands. Because they have been cut off from the mainland for so long, Socotra has developed its own very unique set of natural inhabitants. In fact, a full third of its 800 species of flora can't be found anywhere else on the planet. It's this fact that has given it the status as the most alien looking place on Earth, certifiable by the warped looking dragon's blood tree.

Traveling through Asia can be a very interesting, educational, and fun experience, and having a passport can make it all possible. Click your way over to an online passport bureau and browse the variety of services, from getting your first passport to obtaining a express new passport service.
